Car 41. A complaint from the Harrow Works, east building: lights on at night, and a sound like something running.

The caller wouldn't give a name. Nobody has worked there in eleven years.

The gatehouse log is still there. Sign in when you arrive.

Intake is a short fixed-camera horror game in the style of the late 90s: pre-rendered rooms seen from cameras that don't move, tank or screen-relative controls, a pocket torch, and a building that goes on further than it should.

- A complete story, start to end, in one short sitting (under half an hour)

- No saving, no combat

- Original score and sound

Controls: arrows / WASD move · Shift run · E examine · F torch ·  Esc pause

Windows, macOS, Linux, or play in the browser.

This is the pilot. Intake is a proof of concept for a full-length game: the rest of the Harrow Works, the people who worked there, and what the factory actually makes. Whether it gets made depends on you. If you want more:

the controls really pull this game back... At "that one part", It's hard to explain without spoiling, but running away is impossible... I had to stop playing , It was super frustrating at the end and it was just way too unclear as to where to go... (everything leading to "that part" was AWESOME though)

Came here from Reddit post on horrorgaming.
I played it for 10 minutes or so but couldn't find the way to continue after getting into the factory :( Then I lost the motivation to power it through
